Warehouse Material Handler and Backup Driver

POSITION SUMMARY

U.S. AutoForce, a division of U.S. Venture, Inc., brings together more than 100 years of experience as an industry leader in the distribution of tires, undercar parts, and lubricants to independent tire retailers, auto repair shops, and automotive dealerships. The schedule for this position is Monday-Friday 9:30am-6:00pm or until all work is complete. Schedules are subject to change based on business needs and may require overtime.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Competitive pay starting at $21/hr! Load, unload, stock tires and auto parts in a fast-paced warehouse environment using industrial vehicles such as a forklift or picker equipment. Use scanners to find and put away tires and assist with inventory control. Lift 50 pounds consistently throughout the shift and occasionally lift up to 80 pounds. When lifting commercial tires, perform team lifts or use mechanical equipment. Exert a pushing force of up to 40 pounds when working with barrels or industrial/agricultural tires. Work safely at heights up to 25 feet on stock racks while operating equipment. Remain on the move; be willing and able to work on feet for extended periods and work overtime as needed. Contribute to a culture of safety, ensuring adherence to all safety policies and operating procedures. Assist other departments such as e-commerce, inventory, and will-call as business needs dictate.

DRIVING

Drive a box truck under 26,001 pounds or other vehicles on routes, making 10-20 deliveries per day. Complete and maintain accurate records and logs, including driver's logs, fuel purchase logs, and other records per company policy and law. Make on-time deliveries at customers’ locations safely and punctually in all weather conditions. Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections. Operate a handheld device provided, ensuring all deliveries are fulfilled. Communicate effectively and efficiently with customers, coworkers, and management. Collect payments from customers upon delivery of product. Perform any other job-related tasks as directed by supervisor, subject to reasonable accommodations.

Physical Demands and Work Environment Physical demands: You must have the visual, auditory, physical, and mental ability to operate equipment safely with or without reasonable accommodation. Frequently lift products up to 50 pounds, occasionally up to 80 pounds, and exert a pushing force of up to 40 pounds. Handle commercial tires with team lifts or mechanical equipment. Protective equipment required: steel or composite toe boots, safety vest, safety harness, seatbelt, SRL. Work environment may expose you to weather conditions, moderate noise levels, and fumes from tires, car parts, and lubricants.

QUALIFICATIONS

Must be 21 years or older. At least 1 year of professional driving experience (cargo van, box truck, or semi) and satisfactory completion of company road test. At least 1 year of warehouse/logistics or relevant experience. Valid driver's license and good driving record. Able to be trained and safely use powered industrial trucks (forklifts) and high-reach lifts; pass forklift certification test. Ability to lift 50 pounds consistently and occasionally up to 80 pounds. Ability to exert a pushing force of up to 40 pounds.Follow instructions and safe operating procedures. Provide quality customer service. Work overtime as needed. Pass a pre-employment drug test (without THC). Valid DOT medical card or ability to obtain one during hiring per DOT/FMCSA guidelines.
