Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Pediatric Behavioral Health Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Hours Experience: Minimum of 2 Years License: Active Nursing License required Certifications: BLS, CPI or MANDT required Must-Have: - 1:12 Patient Ratio Experience required - Trauma Informed Care Training required - Zero Suicide Training required Description: We are seeking a Registered Nurse specializing in Pediatric Behavioral Health for an acute in-patient setting. The position involves working on a night shift, three times a week. The nurse will be responsible for managing a ratio of 1:12 patients. Experience with patient ratios and behavioral health is a priority. Candidates should have expertise in treating a range of mental health disorders. Emergency care experience is essential, including CPR and emergent chemical restraints. The position involves medication administration using various delivery methods. A sound knowledge of legal aspects related to behavioral health is required. Professional skills in blood glucose monitoring and lab value interpretation are necessary. Therapeutic approaches such as crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques will be utilized. The role requires collaboration with interdisciplinary teams for patient care. Candidates must also have training in patient restraint and trauma-informed care. A strong commitment to following protocols for seclusion and voluntary/involuntary commitments is critical. The RN will primarily cover medication passes and provide guidance to nursing staff. Applicants must be responsive and complete all required documentation promptly.
