General Position Summary Produce sales gains by providing customer service. Meet or exceed company objectives in all individual statistics. Provide consistent, documented appraisal of associate’s sales performance, offering feedback on strengths and opportunities in line with company objectives. Adhere to visual guidelines: merchandising, signage, and store cleanliness. Maintain professional appearance in accordance with dress code policy. Principle Duties and Responsibilities Produce sales gains by providing customer service. Meet or exceed company objectives in all individual statistics. Provide documented appraisal of associate’s sales performance and feedback in line with company objectives. Maintain visual standards: merchandising, signage, cleanliness. Adhere to dress code policy. Control Expenses Protect company assets within Lids Retail policies. Assist in preparing store schedules within wage control guidelines. Follow inventory management policies for receiving, transferring, price changes, and product counts. Document and maintain records per Lids policies and laws. Open and close store as required per Operations P&P Manual. Support all Lids policies, procedures, and guidelines. Additional Principal Duties and Responsibilities Participate in Lids training programs, adhere to sales and task goals, and follow up regularly. Assist in recruiting and training store personnel on operations and procedures. Encourage compliance of company policies, procedures, and guidelines for inventory, funds, and property safety. Perform subordinates’ work as needed. Communicate with employees at all levels. Other duties as assigned. Job Required Knowledge & Skills High school diploma or equivalent plus one year related experience. Ability to produce sales results while minimizing loss. Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills. Computer operation and familiarity with related software. Lift up to 50 pounds. Climb ladder and work with hands overhead. Stand for up to 100% of work time. Work unsupervised. Preferred Job Required Knowledge & Skills Assistant Store Managers can earn up to 25% above local minimum wage based on experience. Compensation may vary by skills, experience, and location. Assistant Store Managers Part Time are available for monthly store sales bonuses and a 40% employee discount.
