Environmental Engineer VI - Public Drinking Water Program - Limited Service

OverviewThe Public Drinking Water Program is seeking an Environmental Engineer who is passionate about protecting public health through safe and reliable drinking water. Whether you're early in your career or bringing years of experience, you'll join a collaborative team of engineers and scientists reviewing and providing input on public drinking water projects from planning through permitting. Fieldwork may involve exposure to chemicals, gases, hazardous liquid and solid waste, and construction sites during all weather conditions; and may involve traversing rough terrain and bodies of water. Some work outside of regular working hours, including attendance at public meetings, may be required. Strong differences of opinion may be encountered on a regular basis.Minimum QualificationsBachelor's degree or higher in environmental, sanitary, chemical, water resources, civil or mechanical engineering or a related field AND three (3) or more years of experience in in a related engineering field OROne (1) year or more of experience as an Environmental Engineer V or two (2) years or more as an Environmental Engineer IV.Total CompensationAs a State employee you are offered a great career opportunity, but it's more than a paycheck.
