Join a highly-skilled technical team of Laboratory Technologists in our Special Hematology/Coagulation area of the Central Laboratory at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center.

Take on this important role, responsible for performing all patient tests, performing quality control procedures as well as standard preventative maintenance. Here you'll have an opportunity to work with nationally accredited colleagues and contribute to lifesaving results. In this Senior position, you will function as a working Technologist who also assumes some responsibilities for the supervision and coordination of the activities of laboratory personnel in the performance of quantitative and qualitative tests, under the supervision of the Lead Technologist and Laboratory Supervisor. Relieves Lead Technologist during temporary absences. Great advancement opportunity for a Technologist!

This position is a full-time day shift role, 8:00am-4pm with rotating on-call weekends and holidays. Location is our Weill Cornell campus on Manhattan's Upper East Side.

Preferred Criteria

• 6 years of experience as a Laboratory Technologist

• ASCP certification

Required Criteria

• A minimum of two years experience in Special Hematology/Coagulation

• A Bachelors degree in Medical Technology (or equivalent experience)

• New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist licensure from the New York Education department
