Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the controller 

• Assist in the preparation of financial statements 

• Maintain the chart of accounts 

• Assist in the month end close outs  

• Highlight anomalies in the financials  

• Assist in project closeout process  

• Make sure KPIs are being met 

• Monitor complete accounting cycle including but not limited to AP, AR, Payroll, and Banking 

• Ensure closeouts are being conducted in a timely manner (monthly, quarterly, and yearly) 

• Ensure bookkeeping is done accurately and timely 

• Advise and suggest on process refinement 

• Submit Credit Applications 

• Setting up of new customers and jobs in Quickbooks per the company’s guidelines 

• Ensure correct cost codes are being used for all transactions

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 

• Minimum of 2-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in the construction industry. 

• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting. 

• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Netsuite) and ERP systems. 

• Advanced Excel skills, including data analysis and reporting. 

• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. 

• High level of attention to detail and accuracy. 

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with various departments. 

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
