Job Description ID Ecosystem Technology Lead Role - - As the ID Ecosystem Tech Lead, you will be the technical owner for the entire Identification (ID) ecosystem: readers (electronic and visual), device-to-cloud connectivity and upload mechanisms, data pipelines and integrations, and the user applications and services that consume identification data. You will set the technical direction, define architecture and operational standards, lead cross-discipline technical teams, and coordinate delivery with the Product Manager for ID. $173,200.00 - $272,600.00 This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee's position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, government requirements, and business or organizational needs. The successful candidate will be eligible for annual bonus and long-term incentive, if applicable. - Bachelor's degree in systems engineering, electrical/mechanical/computer engineering, or related discipline; or equivalent practical experience. Advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience
- Proven experience leading end-to-end device-to-cloud systems and data-driven products, including reader devices or IoT hardware, connectivity, backend services, and user applications.
- Strong understanding of data architectures, event-driven pipelines messaging systems and REST/ APIs.
- Experience defining device-cloud interfaces, secure provisioning, OTA/firmware update strategies, and device management at scale.
- Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary technical teams and coordinate across hardware, firmware, cloud, and application domains.
- Experience with operational considerations for production systems: monitoring, SLAs, incident management, and post-incident review.
- Solid grasp of security best practices for device and cloud ecosystems (encryption in transit and at rest, authentication/authorization, key management).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; able to align technical decisions with product and business objectives.
- Track record of delivering production-grade systems with attention to reliability, maintainability, and scalability.
