Sewing Technician

Job Type Full-time Description The Level I Sewing Technician will be responsible for entry level duties in the sew shop as assigned. Essential Functions: Wraps and bands completed synthetic and ENR slings. Supports the auto cutter operator in cutting, folding, and marking slings and ENR sleeving material. Provides miscellaneous support for processing slings through the production line. Attaches tags onto synthetic slings. Sews towing products with oversight. Sews 1" and 2", up to 2 plies, synthetic slings with oversight. Has a basic understanding of machine mechanics. Follows all health/safety rules and best practices. Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly work area. Required Skills/Abilities: Ability to operate commercial sewing machines and banders. Strong math, reading and communication skills. Ability to work independently or in a team in a fast-paced environment. Experience with smart phones, computers and software including Microsoft Office. Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required. Six months of related warehouse or manufacturing experience required. Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods sitting, using tools, and performing repetitive actions. Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time and 75 pounds max with assistance. Must have good hand/eye coordination. Visual acuity to read instructions, operate machines, and inspect products/tags/label.
