IT Summer Assistant

Job Overview The IT Summer Assistant provides day-to-day support to the UMN Morris Information Technology department. This is a hands‑on, entry‑level role ideal for individuals with an interest in technology. The position is located at the University of Minnesota – Morris campus and requires an in‑person work environment. Schedule Monday‑Friday, 10‑40 hours per week. Eligibility This position is not eligible for H‑1B or Green Card sponsorship, nor does it offer a STEM OPT training program. Job Duties / Responsibilities Help with the setup, configuration, and maintenance of computers and equipment. Assist with equipment inventory, organization, and general IT department tasks. Required Qualifications Ability to follow instructions. Proficiency in reading, writing, and understanding English. Intermediate level of computer knowledge. Pay Pay Range: $15.25 per hour; depending on education, qualifications, and experience. Benefits Retirement plan options are available for Civil Service, Faculty, Labor‑Represented, Professional & Administrative, and Temp Casual classifications.
