Shop Welder/Frabricator

Welder PositionThis position is responsible for performing basic to comprehensive welding repairs and new fabrications while learning and developing technical skills.Responsibilities include:Performing basic and comprehensive repair welds on equipment and componentsPerforming basic and comprehensive arc welding, air arc, gas welding, and cuttingFabricating new components from shop drawings and/or blueprintsWorking as a member of a team to provide basic technical services that satisfy customer needs and achieve departmental goalsWorking overtime as required by workload and customers' needsPreparing service reports and any other necessary paperworkExamining workpieces for defects to ensure conformance with specificationsMaintaining all company equipment, tools, and work areas in a good, clean, and working orderPerforming tasks under minimal supervisionProviding assistance to other weldersAdhering to contamination control and HAZMAT rules and regulationsWorking safely at all times and adhering to all applicable safety policies; complying with all company policies, procedures, and standardsRequiring regular and punctual employee attendancePerforming other duties as assignedRequirements include:Previous experience in welding, manufacturing, or other related fieldsFamiliarity with welding tools and proceduresExcellent work habits, accuracy, attention to detail, and quality of workAuger and fabrication repair experience a plusAbility to lift at least 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasksWillingness to undergo pre-employment drug testing and welding testTravel might be requiredBenefits include:401(k) retirement planDental, health, vision, and life insuranceEmployer paid short-term and long-term disability benefitsWork location is an hourly position based in Converse, TX.We are an equal opportunity employer and greatly value the diverse backgrounds of our team.
