Job Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive evaluations, including thorough medical histories and physical assessments
• Assist in the diagnosis and evaluation of surgical patients, interpreting lab results and imaging studies
• Actively collaborate with surgeons to formulate and implement tailored surgical strategies for each patient
• Provide intraoperative assistance, ensuring operating rooms are precisely prepared and patients positioned correctly
• Administer superior pre-operative and post-operative care, including medication, wound management, discharge advice, and patient education

Education

• Master's degree from an accredited PA program
• A preference for candidates with a background in surgical rotations

Certifications

• Current and valid PA-C certification
• Required certifications in BLS and ACLS
• State-specific licensure eligibility to practice as a Physician Assistant

Skills

• In-depth understanding of surgical procedures and adherence to sterile techniques
• Capability of interpreting diagnostic tests and contributing to advanced clinical decisions
