Burns Funeral Home in Elko, NV is seeking an Apprentice funeral director/embalmer/arranger to assist with all aspects of funeral services including planning, arranging, embalming, directing and client pick-up. Potential employees must possess the following qualities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong ability to exercise sound judgment.
- Strong ability to evaluate and appropriately address privacy and confidentiality.
- Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Demonstrated ability to act with a high degree of initiative.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Strong accuracy and attention to detail
- Professional attitude and demeanor
- Possess an excellent driving record.
- Proficient computer skills
- Taken and passed the National Boards
- The ability to obtain a embalming apprenticeship in Nevada (see for additional information)
- Previous work in a funeral home is not required but appreciated.
This position must be able to work nights and weekends as required. Potential employee must be able relocate to Elko, NV.
