School Occupational Therapist

School Occupational Therapist delivering school-based OT services to pediatric students in New Britain, Connecticut. This 36-week contract offers up to $60 per hour and focuses on supporting functional participation in academic and daily living activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide occupational therapy services to pediatric students, supporting functional participation in academic and daily living activities.
• Conduct evaluations and assessments, developing treatment plans aligned with student needs, including sensory, behavioral, and developmental support.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care and implement therapy goals.
• Contribute to IEP/PPT development, progress monitoring, and ongoing documentation per school requirements.
• Support skill development and recommend strategies to improve independence, learning readiness, and classroom participation.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Occupational Therapy (or equivalent) with completion of required OT coursework and clinical training.
• Active Connecticut Occupational Therapist license and NBCOT certification.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as an Occupational Therapist.
• Strong pediatric background supporting ASD, sensory, behavioral, and developmental needs.
• Experience with IEP/PPT development, progress monitoring, and school documentation systems.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, administrators, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Willingness to commit to a 36-week contract and meet contract-specific availability.
• Background check and compliance readiness.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States on a W2 basis.

Preferred Skills:

• School-based OT experience preferred.
