About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Rehabilitation Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Active RN License Certifications: Basic Stroke Certification Must-Have: Candidates must have experience in Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNF). Description: The unit consists of 44 beds with a staff of 46. Day shift includes 1 charge nurse, registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, nursing technicians, and 1 secretary. Night shift includes 1 charge nurse with patient care staff. Patient ratios are 5-6:1 for nursing staff and 10-15:1 for technical staff. Equipment commonly used includes Hoyer lifts, IVs, PEG tubes, tracheostomy care, peritoneal dialysis, and wound care. Electronic medical records are utilized. Typical responsibilities include medication administration and basic medical-surgical nursing care. Candidates are preferred to have experience in medical-surgical or telemetry nursing. A team player with a positive attitude is ideal for this role. The required dress code is navy scrubs. The unit has received multiple awards for excellence in rehabilitation.
