NDT Physicist

Responsibilities Develop ultrasonic and electromagnetic inspection systems for tubular goods. Design and implement new procedures and methodologies for nondestructive testing. Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and software engineers on equipment design, manufacturing, and testing. Investigate and resolve inspection challenges encountered in field operations. Communicate technical findings and technical suggestions through detailed reports and presentations. Support Operations with ultrasonic scan plans and address customer inquiries and technical issues. Qualifications 5–10 years of relevant industrial experience in ultrasonic (UT) nondestructive testing. Bachelor’s degree or higher in Physics, Engineering, Mathematics (with specialization in ultrasound/NDT), or a related field. Experience with phased array ultrasonic testing and/or electromagnetic inspection methods (e.g., magnetic flux leakage, eddy current) is preferred. Experience in design, development of nondestructive evaluation (NDE) systems, and testing of NDE components and systems. Demonstrated ability to perform both analytical and experimental research. Familiarity with data acquisition, signal & image processing, electronics, ultrasonic probes, and instrumentation. Knowledge of finite element methods for ultrasound or electromagnetism Knowledge of computer vision or vision-language model for NDT or automation Knowledge of industry standards such as API, ASTM. Strong problem-solving skills and experience with practical problem-solving methodologies. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Excellent communication skills and ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Self-motivated, innovative, and capable of conducting independent research in a multidisciplinary environment. #J-18808-Ljbffr
