REG-FULL TIME Operations/Productio Mason, OH, US Salary Range: $20.00 To $23.00 Annually Plunge Sinker EDM Operator | Mason, OH 1st Shift Overview: Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, the operator is responsible for following all policies and procedures associated with the various parts and equipment that they may be required to run. In addition, operators are required to load/unload parts, inspect parts using various precision measuring tools, accept or reject parts, and communicate any changes, both verbally and in writing. Essential Tasks: Operation of traditional oil/or deep tank/or multi-axis cnc electrical discharge machining (EDM) aka Sinker EDM. Set-up and operate machines, load/unload parts, and communicate changes and results (in writing and verbally) while adhering to a strict time schedule. Demonstrate ability to read prints, inspect parts using precision gages. Verifies conformance of finished workpiece to customer specifications, using precision measuring tools and equipment as necessary (micrometers, calipers, gauges (pin, thread, indicator, height), optical comparators and coordinate measuring machines (CMM). Good mechanical aptitude and some "shop math" is required. Verifies settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample workpieces, adhering to international standards. Maintains specifications; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming controls; sharpening and replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes. Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations. Maintains equipment by adhering to maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs. Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs. Documents actions by completing production and quality logs. Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications. Exceptional time management and or organization skills. Ability to perform multiple tasks at the same time. Demonstrates the ability to lift 35 pounds regularly. Previous EDM experience preferred but not required Have basic mechanical skills Must be an United States Citizen, or an US Permanent Resident Physical Demand Levels: Lift, push and/or pull 35 pounds Stand at least 95% of the scheduled shift Routinely perform reaching, twisting, bending, and grasping in order to move and set tools, equipment and material.
