Supply Technician

Supply TechnicianT ekPro Support Services (TSS), a professional and technical solutions firm supporting several military installations, federal agencies and commercial companies across the nation, is seeking a cleared Supply Technician to support our ongoing mission in Cheverly, MD.This position performs limited aspects of technical supply management work (e.g., inventory management, storage management, cataloging, and property utilization) related to depot, local, or other supply activities. Working knowledge of methods, practices, and equipment used in receiving, storing, packing, and shipping materials and supplies. General knowledge of methods of taking inventories and maintaining inventory records.**Active Top Security Clearance Required**What You'll Do:Oversee stock maintenance at or within prescribed levels and establish or adjust stock levels and reorder points using standard formulae and prescribed procedures.Conduct physical inventories and adjust and/or maintain inventory, stock, plant, or property account recordsReceive and screen lists or other documents specifying supplies or materials needed for planned programs or work operations, and collate and assemble lists of equipment and parts needed for acquisition plansInitiate, prepare, edit, and process requisitions to stock, commodity control, or other appropriate supply organizationsSearch catalogs, records, or other data sources to obtain or correct stock numbers or to find authorized substitutes for stock itemsContact customers, supply organizations, transportation units, and others to obtain material status information, follow up on urgently required items, and/or expedite delivery of material to work sitesProcess documentation for stock item receipts, maintain such items in a supply room or similar storage area, issue material to shop or work center personnel, keep local stock records, reorder when stocks are low or at a specified reorder point, prepare standard reports such as variances between actual and estimated costs, and perform related stock receipt, storage, control, and issue functions for expendable and non-expendable items for a local organizationIdentify requirements and requisition, issue, or distribute office and administrative supplies, forms, publications, or other printed materialsMaintain an accurate accounting and reporting system for non-expendable property and perform standardized property management control processes; and/orOperate computer terminals or personal computers to perform records search, data input, and data corrections.Education & Experience Requirements:Must be able to work in a Warehouse/Office workspaceSome lifting of objects under 50 lbsHigh school graduate or equivalent with a minimum of three (3) years of supply functions, either in the military services or in commercial applications is requiredMust be able to work in group or team environments of over 5-10 membersMust have experience with automated warehouse tracking systemsProficiency with Microsoft Office and inventory logging softwareAttributes:Communicator: You possess strong communication skills and enjoy working with customers.Team Oriented: You can embrace the ideas of others (even if they conflict with your own) for the sake of the company and clientSelf-motivated: You can work with a minimum of supervision and be capable of strategically prioritizing multiple tasks in a proactive mannerPassionate: You must be passionate about collaborationAnalytical: You can analyze problems and offer alternative solutions, while thinking outside of the boxTSS offers a competitive benefits package to include: paid holidays, paid time off including sick and vacation leave, medical, dental and vision insurance, flexible spending accounts, short and long term disability, company paid life insurance, 401(k) with a company match and discretionary profit sharing and tuition reimbursement.
