Environmental Scientist

Accountable for the coordination, implementation, execution, and completion of assigned projects ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments and goals. Reports to the Senior Project Manager. The successful Environmental Planner/Scientist will provide project support to project managers during the execution of projects. Responsibilities Familiarity with natural resources permitting at the federal and state level Familiarity with surveys required to successfully complete project permitting Experience conducting wetland delineations and habitat surveys Creates and executes project work plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements Prepares deliverables and permit applications Effectively applies Audubon methodology and enforces project standards Prepares for engagement reviews and quality assurance procedures Minimizes exposure and risk on projects Ensures project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately Remains accessible to the project manager during the life of the project, ensuring requests are processed timely and appropriately Participates as a contributing member of the assigned Business Unit Assists Sr. PM and other members of the Project Management Team in project completion Acknowledges and appreciates each team member's contributions Motivates the team to work together efficiently Keeps track of lessons learned and shares them with team members Mitigates team conflict and communication problems Suggests areas for improvement in internal processes along with possible solutions Leads and/or participates in internal teams or task forces Health, Safety, and Environmental Responsibilities All employees are responsible for supporting Audubon Companies’ Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures Performing duties in a manner that protects personal and team health and safety Participating in required HSE training, meetings, and reporting activities Identifying and reporting hazards, near misses, and unsafe conditions Following safe work practices and complying with applicable regulatory requirements Experience and Skill Requirements Bachelor’s Degree AND 5-7+ years of experience Preferred: Wetland certificate Experience Required: Minimum of 5 years of industry related experience as a planner/scientist or similar role Experience Preferred: 5 years of linear survey experience Works to instill a sense of project ownership and accountability Coordinates and works with other departments (Engineering, Quality, Procurement, Finance and Accounting) to ensure the timely delivery of quality goods and services which meet or exceed customer expectations Takes an ACTIVE role in developing their skills and progressing professionally Identifies opportunities for team member improvement and makes constructive suggestions for change Complies with and helps to enforce standard policies and procedures Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disabled #J-18808-Ljbffr
