Store ManagerThe Turner's Outdoorsman is looking for a Store Manager located in Pittsburg, Ca. The Store Manager is the business and cultural leader of the store team, responsible for achieving sales goals, customer satisfaction, and profitability growth as well as understanding, practicing, and being a strong proponent of the Turner's brand and the company culture. The Store Manager is a retail professional role model in attitude and appearance skilled in the art of communication and customer service, who possesses the ability to teach these skills to the team and ultimately lead by example.Essential FunctionsManages a staff of Assistant Store Managers and non-exempt employeesProvides excellent customer service and displays exceptional salesmanshipEnsures customers enjoy a full service and high value shopping experienceAccountable to meet budgeted sales by setting daily, weekly and monthly sales goals while effectively managing labor costs and minimizing shrinkageEffectively advertises and promotes Turner's Outdoorsman products and eventsPromotes a teaming environmentSchedules employee shifts, and break times in accordance with state and federal lawsDistributes work assignments to employeesTrains, motivates, supervises and develops employeesResponsible for all aspects of store operations either directly or through the delegation of staff including office management, supervision of accurate cash handling, and register functions, maintain and track proper merchandise stock levels, displays merchandise effectively, maintains and ensures completion of firearms paperwork, achieves firearms inventory integrity, adheres to firearm compliance laws, regulations and policiesPerform other duties as assigned which includes but not limited to covering employee breaks and/or lunches in other departments as neededQualificationsHigh school graduate (or GED) required, college graduate or some college preferred.Fluent in EnglishMust have at least 2 years of prior retail and sales experience in a supervisory or managerial roleKnowledge about Hunting, Fishing, or Shooting sports is preferred.Legally eligible to work in a firearm environment.Must be 21 years or older.Certificate of Eligibility RequiredMust be able to multi-task and work in a face paced environment.Requests for time off may or may not be granted during black-out periods.Physical RequirementsResponsible for loading/unloading trucks, lifting up to 50 pounds without assistanceMust be able to use both hands when handling a firearmMust be able to use a computer proficiently and grasp instruction to new software programsMust be able to stand, sit, bend and lift throughout the course of a scheduled shiftTravel RequirementsOccasional travel is required (approximately 20% of the time-participating in events, training seminars, corporate meetings or opening new store locations)HoursHours-at least 45 hours per week are required, variedRequests for time off may or may not be granted during black-out periodsAbout UsWe are professional, collaborative, social and our goal is to provide the merchandise you want, at the best prices in the industry couple with personal service and first-hand fishing, hunting, and shooting experience that only our sales professionals can provide.Our work environment includes:Growth opportunitiesFlexible working hoursCompany perksTurner's Outdoorsman is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
