Production Supervisor 3rd Shift Harper Aerospace Manufacturing & Machining Job Description To plan, organize and control production to ensure that goods are produced efficiently, on time and within budgets and to standards. The Production Supervisor will directly supervise and coordinate the activities of production between machine operators by supervising daily production schedules and ensuring that inventory levels are managed properly. 3rd Shift: Friday, Saturday & Sunday: 6 a.m.-6:30 p.m. Position Details Posted: April 13, 2026 Type: Full-Time / On-Site Location: 949 N State Road 14, Harper, KS 67058, USA Education High school diploma or equivalent Job Experience Minimum of 3 years of knowledge and experience in production and manufacturing processes and techniques 2-3 years of manufacturing experience required Responsibilities Oversee the day-to-day workflow of production staff Manage Production operators Handle discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy Work with department leaders to monitor each department and make recommendations to improve performance that impacts the organization Position Responsibilities Oversee the production process to ensure delivery of high-quality products that meet the customers needs Ensure appropriate production rate to reduce delivery delays Collaborate with Customer Service and sales departments to identify and resolve quality concerns Identify any bottlenecks or delays in production; ensure necessary labor, materials and other resources are available to relieve production bottlenecks and delays Use production planning and scheduling to limit material shortages Ensure production machinery complies with professional and safety standards Effectively and clearly communicate potential risks in a timely manner Resolve employee, customer or contractor issues Coordinate with internal and external parties to exchange relevant information Prepare staff schedules and determine work assignments, including timeline completions for projects Represent the organization in external relations, including negotiations Act as liaison between departments or other groups to improve function, performance or communication Review applicable organizational policies and procedures, ensuring accuracy and relevance and communicate said policies and procedures, updating as necessary Ensure CARs (Corrective Action Reports) are submitted on time with proper resolutions Enforce safety and health regulations Direct and coordinate the activities of employees engaged in the production or processing of goods, such as operators or general production workers Confer with other supervisors to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments Plan and establish work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals Inspect materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions Observe work and monitor gauges, dials, and other indicators to ensure that operators conform to production or processing standards Conduct employee training in equipment operations or work and safety procedures, or assign employee training to experienced workers Interpret specifications, blueprints, job orders, and company policies and procedures for workers Keep records of employees attendance and hours worked Read and analyze charts, work orders, production schedules, and other records and reports to determine production requirements and to evaluate current production estimates and outputs Requisition materials, supplies, equipment parts, or repair services Maintain operations data, such as t me, production, and cost records, and prepare management reports of production results Determine standards, budgets, production goals, and rates, based on company policies, equipment and labor availability, and workloads Confer with management or subordinates to resolve worker problems, complaints, or grievances Set up and adjust machines and equipment Recommend or implement measures to motivate employees and to improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality, or efficiency Recommend or execute personnel actions, such as hirings, evaluations, or promotions Implement corrective actions to address organizational or departmental issues Establish Departmental Responsibilities And Coordinate Functions Ensure efficient collaboration and coordination between relevant departments, including procurement, distribution and management.
