Urgent Care Physician

Role: Full-time Physician (MD/DO) in an Occupational Medicine/Urgent Care setting in Bakersfield, CA.

Responsibilities: Provide high-quality medical care by examining patients, treating injuries, conducting routine check-ups, physical examinations, and documenting patient information. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physicians, PAs, NPs, surgeons, and therapists. Refer patients to specialists as needed and stay current with medical advancements through seminars. Maintain a compassionate and trustworthy environment fostering patient trust.

Qualifications & Skills: Valid California license and DEA, excellent communication, proficiency with electronic health records, and ability to work independently. Preferred experience in Orthopedics, Emergency Medicine, or Occupational Medicine, with certifications like FMCSA and MRO. Strong diagnostic skills, knowledge of medications, legal guidelines, and confidentiality are essential. Capable of conducting DOT exams and understanding disability ratings is a plus.

Key Duties: Examine and treat injuries, coordinate with specialists, keep detailed records, and ensure patient trust and safety. No call, weekends, or nights required. Emphasis on patient care, teamwork, and professional development.
