Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team. In this role, you will assist the company in making profitable business decisions by gathering information and preparing accurate estimates. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and has a proven track record as an Estimator. Ideally, we are looking for someone with a good understanding of how to read Architectural plans. Proficiency in excel and plan swift is preferred.

Responsibilities

Fully understand the project scope and requirements by studying plans, spec books, project manuals, and product sheets

Determine the key variables for cost and conduct research to determine expected labor and materials costs

Create and submit estimates to GCs

Budget and forecast using appropriate software

Qualifications

Previous experience as an Estimator is preferred

Ability to forecast building costs and knowledge of estimation formulas

Strong mathematical and analytical skills

Skilled in relevant software (Timberline, HCSS HeavyBid)

Excellent research, writing, and negotiation skills
