Patient Registration Rep.

Patient Registration Representative Collect and enter precise patient information into the Electronic Medical Record system to uphold the accuracy of health records. Schedule appointments, verify demographic and insurance details, and complete pre-registration tasks to ensure correct billing. Recognize situations requiring clinical healthcare staff intervention and manage patient flow effectively. Safeguard patient confidentiality following HIPAA guidelines. Support Care Coordination services and participate in Quality Improvement and Quality Assurance initiatives. Manage Prior Authorizations, referrals, and provide specialist resource information. Accurately track and record patient data. Attend meetings and fulfill other assigned duties. High School diploma or equivalent (GED) required. At least 1 year of customer service experience in a healthcare environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic computer skills. Associate's Degree in a related field preferred. Thorough understanding of medical terminology. 3 years of experience in advanced customer service and relevant healthcare positions preferred. Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record systems preferred. This role entails periods of sitting, standing, walking, bending, and job-related stress. Evening or weekend shifts may be necessary, with occasional lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying objects weighing up to ten pounds.
