HIRING IMMEDIATELY: GENERAL LABOR IN ELK GROVE VILLAGE, IL

Accurate Personnel is hiring immediately for General Labor to join our team in Elk Grove Village, Illinois. This individual will be responsible for freight handling, logistics coordination, and more general warehouse duties listed below. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to operate a forklift, ability to use basic math, and excellent organizational skills with strong written and oral communication. Pay, Schedule, and Location

• Starting at $18/hour
• Excellent benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision
• Full time schedule available
• Located in Elk Grove Village, Illinois

Duties and Responsibilities

• Freight Handling: Receive incoming freight, unload, and inspect shipments for accurate counts and any damages.
• Logistics Coordination: Arrange and coordinate truck and rail pickup transportation from the customer's supplier to warehouse or the outgoing carrier.
• Compliance Checks: Ensure all freight complies with TSA security regulations. 
• Verify that Dangerous Goods freight is properly packaged and labeled according to DOT and IATA regulations.
• Specialty Cargo: Process live animal and perishable shipments in compliance with federal agency regulations.
• Data Entry & Documentation: Input air waybill data into a computer system.
• Prepare Export Declarations, Letters of Credit, and Department of Commerce documentation for exporting freight out of the U.S.
• Customer Support: Track and trace shipments, negotiate competitive rates with airlines and truckers when applicable, and send customer invoices.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Comfortable exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, frequently, or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
• Equipment: Must be able to operate a forklift (Forklift Safety Certification is required).
• Work Environment: Comfortable in a fast-paced warehouse and operations setting. Flexible schedules and long hours are sometimes required depending on shipment volumes.
• Math Skills: Ability to use basic math to calculate freight dimensions, storage capacity, and associated shipping charges.
• Soft Skills: Excellent organizational skills with strong written and oral communication.
