Registered Nurse - Orthopedics Surgical Unit

This is a 13-week contract position.

Night shift: 3x12-Hour (18:45 - 07:15)

Join our team as a Registered Nurse in a fully surgical orthopedics unit with a focus on joints. You will provide compassionate care to patients undergoing various orthopedic surgeries, primarily total knee and hip replacements, spinal fusions, and other orthopedic procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to surgical patients with a focus on orthopedic procedures.
• Perform cardiac monitoring and respond to emergencies, managing dysrhythmias effectively.
• Administer IV therapy and manage peripheral line care.
• Provide respiratory support including nasal cannula and non-invasive airway management.
• Implement isolation precautions and adhere to PPE protocols.
• Participate in rapid response and code teams when necessary.
• Document patient care accurately using the EPIC charting system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Med/Surg Orthopedics.
• Current BLS certification preferred.
• Experience with total joint replacement and spinal surgeries is a plus.
• Must pass EKG Testing prior to start.
