Senior Accounting Associate

A Professional Services Firm based in New York City is seeking an experienced accounting professional to join their team as Senior Accounting Associate. Responsibilities Support the team in managing the full monthly, quarterly, and annual close process, including preparation, review, and analysis of consolidated financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP. Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of financial data across the region and its business units. Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, supporting schedules, and other close deliverables in a timely manner. Assist in maintaining and enhancing accounting processes and internal controls to enable accurate and timely reporting for internal and external stakeholders. Prepare and review financial reports and statements, ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards and internal policies. Support regulatory compliance efforts and assist in the preparation of documentation and analysis for external audits. Monitor updates to accounting standards and help assess their impact on month-end close procedures and financial reporting. Collaborate with North America finance teams to collect required financial data, standardize reporting practices, and meet consolidation deadlines. Perform other duties, as needed. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or equivalent certification, or active progress toward certification, is a plus. 2–5 years of relevant accounting or finance experience; public accounting background is a plus. Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP. Excellent analytical skills, advanced Excel proficiency, and strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy.
