Inpatient Pharmacist

This role involves providing pharmaceutical care in an inpatient setting. The pharmacist will work a schedule of 7 days on followed by 7 days off. Initially, there may be a transition period on night shift for approximately 30-60 days before moving to day shift. The pharmacist is expected to work every other weekend. Additionally, block scheduling will be part of the work arrangement. Experience in hospital settings is mandatory; retail pharmacy experience is not applicable. Knowledge and skill in areas like antibiotics, anticoagulation therapy, pediatric dosing, and clinical dosing are essential. The position does not require floating between units or on-call duties. Weekend work is required as part of the schedule. It is important for the candidate to have familiarity with pediatric patients. Strong clinical knowledge and the ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team are crucial. The pharmacist will be involved in medication management, therapeutic drug monitoring, and ensuring safe medication practices. Candidates must be prepared to commit to the work schedule as described.
