Position Summary The Interventional Radiology Tech provides health care services to assist in interventional radiologic procedures to diagnose and/or treat patients. Assists the interventional radiologist in performance of multi-modality procedures and related techniques, producing images for the interpretation by or at the request of a licensed practitioner. Position is considered to be most senior radiologic technologist role and thus performs most complex and highest acuity radiologic procedures. Must work in an inpatient and outpatient setting. Minimum Qualifications Graduate of Committee of Allied Health Education and Accreditation (CAHE) accredited radiology program Montana Licensure (Radiology Technologist) American Registry of Radiological Technology (ARRT) certification American Heart Association BLS certification Minimum 2 years of previous complex radiography experience Minimum 1 year of experience in diagnostic imaging with angiographic techniques Competencies in Interventional Radiology procedures Eligibility to be board certified Preferred Certification in Vascular Interventional Essential Job Functions Performs radiological exams and special procedures as requested by medical staff Performs US and CT guided diagnostic and therapeutic procedures alongside interventional radiologist Performs angiographic diagnostic and therapeutic procedures alongside interventional radiologist Performs injections as required for procedural protocols Performs fluoroscopic diagnostic and therapeutic procedures alongside radiology provider May assist with patient education for preparation and post-care of procedure, site, and implant management Performs post‑procedural image reconstruction as necessary Assists radiology nursing with fluoroscopically guided PICC placements Performs c‑arm fluoroscopy exams in the operating room as requested by surgeons Completes documentation required for proper interpretation, reporting, archiving, and retrieval of exams Performs ancillary duties required to maintain proper distribution, billing, and archival of exams and procedures Retrieves written orders and related health information Participates in implementation, monitoring, and improvement of hospital quality indicators Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Computer applications, MS Office, EMR, internet applications and standard office equipment Ability to work in a busy and stressful environment Demonstrates sound judgment, patience, and maintains a professional demeanor at all times Self‑directed, completes assignments accurately, thoroughly and with minimal oversight Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills Shift Monday – Friday, 8‑hour shifts #J-18808-Ljbffr
