We’re seeking a seasoned Tax Preparer / Accountant with strong QuickBooks skills and 5+ years of experience in both tax and accounting. This is a full-time, in-office role dedicated to tax preparation and general accounting support across diverse client portfolios.
Key Responsibilities
Tax Preparation (Primary Focus)
- Prepare tax returns for Individuals, Corporations, S-Corps, LLCs, and Partnerships
- Lead review of prepared returns for accuracy, completeness, and compliance
- Respond to tax notices and client inquiries professionally
- Provide proactive tax planning and strategic guidance
- Manage multiple client engagements and deadlines
- Bonus: Experience with Non-Profit, Estate, and Trust returns
Accounting Support (Secondary Focus)
- Perform reconciliations and maintain financial records in QuickBooks (Online/Desktop)
- Prepare financial statements and assist with payroll and sales tax filings
- Review financials for consistency and accuracy
- Support clients with bookkeeping and compliance
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in tax preparation and accounting
- Proven ability to lead tax review and manage client projects
- EA or CTEC-Registered Tax Preparer preferred
- Experience with Lacerte tax software a plus
- Strong QuickBooks skills (Online and Desktop)
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Spanish bilingual is a plus
