Job Title: Machine Assembler

Job Description

We are seeking a Machine Assembler to join our fabrication environment. You will collaborate with the fabrication team, interpret blueprints, and use hand and power tools to assemble equipment. This role requires problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and read blueprints to determine the proper layout of equipment.
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, and other fabrication equipment to complete tasks.
• Collaborate with the team, demonstrating effective communication and the ability to take direction.
• Solve problems, pay attention to detail, and complete tasks with minimal supervision.
• Use manual machinery to fabricate parts and fixtures.
• Operating forklifts and overhead cranes is a plus.

Essential Skills

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Machine Assembly or a similar role.
• Ability to interpret and read blueprints.
• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication tools.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; Technical School preferred.

Work Environment

Work in a medium-sized fabrication and welding production shop with 20-25 employees on the shop floor. The facility is equipped with overhead cranes and other industrial machinery.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Downers Grove, IL.

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
