Business Portfolio Manager

Fibernow is seeking a results-driven Business Portfolio Manager to grow and manage our business customer portfolio across our fiber network. This role is responsible for developing new business opportunities, expanding existing customer relationships, and driving revenue growth across Fibernow’s full portfolio, managed IT and cloud services, voice, and high-speed fiber internet and connectivity. The ideal candidate sells IT services as comfortably as connectivity and can hold a credible technical or casual conversation about how the two fit together. They build relationships easily with commercial or business owners, managers, or partners and have a strong track record of exceeding sales goals. What You’ll Do Sell Fibernow’s managed IT, cloud, backup, and cybersecurity services alongside fiber internet, dedicated connectivity, and voice, attaching IT services to existing connectivity customers and layering connectivity onto IT-led accounts. Identify and pursue new business opportunities within assigned markets and territories, including businesses with aging IT infrastructure, no current MSP, or an underperforming IT provider. Perform an on-site survey of every prospect before presenting services or solutions. Walking the site/building is required, not optional: assess the current IT environment, workstations, servers, cloud platforms, existing cabling and network, equipment locations, and entrance facilities so the proposal covers all the bases and there are no surprises at installation. Develop account strategies or business case that improve customer retention, conduct prospecting, client meetings, presentations, and follow-ups to move opportunities through the sales cycle. Manage and grow a portfolio of Fibernow business customers and prospects, with responsibility for increasing recurring IT revenue per account. Partner with the Onboarding Coordinator, who takes the signed contract and processes the service install, handing off complete survey notes, scope, and site details so installation runs clean and the customer experience stays smooth. Maintain accurate customer, pipeline, and activity information in Salesforce. Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs, and consistently meet or exceed assigned sales targets. What We’re Looking For 3+ years of B2B sales, account management, or business development, with demonstrated success selling MSP / managed IT services: managed workstations and servers, cloud solutions (Microsoft 365, hosted/virtual servers), backup and disaster recovery, cybersecurity, and help-desk support. Internet and voice sales experience is useful but is not what sets a candidate apart. Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales and revenue goals, with a meaningful portion of that revenue from IT or managed services rather than connectivity alone. Strong relationship-building and consultative solution-selling skills, with the ability to scope a full multi-service solution rather than quote a single product. Self-motivated and competitive with a hunter mentality, able to manage multiple accounts and sales opportunities at once while maintaining strong customer relationships, with strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and closing skills. Full professional fluency in English and Spanish, able to run a sales conversation, deliver a presentation, and write proposals and email in both languages. Comfortable working in the field: this role is expected to be on-site at customer and prospect locations regularly, including walking buildings, IT closets, and equipment rooms. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required. Experience using Salesforce or a similar CRM. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams. A big plus: understanding how these pieces connect, and how circuits and voice platforms tie into a customer's network, PCs, servers, and cloud environment. Working knowledge of structured cabling and networking fundamentals (low-voltage cabling standards, switching, routing, firewalls, Wi‑Fi, VLANs, and VPNs) is a strong advantage. Local market knowledge and an established business network are a plus. IT certifications or vendor credentials (CompTIA, Microsoft, Cisco, or similar) are a plus, as is hands‑on IT or help‑desk background earlier in a career.
