Systems Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Applications Developer who can hit the ground running with minimal spin up time. Mobile app development with Android is a must have.

Required Skills

Demonstrated experience with strong knowledge of Geospatial Information Systems (GIS) applications and services
Demonstrated ability to develop Android/iOS mobile applications using React including proficiency with Visual Studio Code, Android Studio, Xcode, Nodejs, and Javascript
Demonstrated experience developing Windows and Linux application releases using the Electron framework
Demonstrated experience working with small teams to manage software development activities
Demonstrated experience working with customers to define functional requirements, concept of operations, and UI/UX design
Demonstrated experience managing iterative software development releases
Demonstrated experience tracking development sprints using JIRA
Demonstrated experience managing source code in Github and Gitlab
Demonstrated experience developing test plans
Demonstrated experience providing technical support and training to a broad client base
Demonstrated experience understanding emerging technical trends
Demonstrated experience in software engineering and development
Demonstrated experience supporting technical operations

Desired Skills

Demonstrated experience with strong communication skills (written and verbal)
Demonstrated experience documenting process and procedures
Demonstrated experience with tool idea conceptualization and requirements design
Demonstrated experience working with Windows, UNIX, and Linux platforms
Advanced degree in Software Engineering or similar
