Baldwin Academy is a structured, academically focused preschool in Pacific Beach seeking a dependable and nurturing Teacher or Teacher Aide to support our infant, toddler, and preschool classrooms. We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys working with young children and understands the importance of calm, attentive care in a professional, well-organized preschool environment. Position
Full-Time: 8:00am5:00pm Responsibilities include:
Supporting daily care routines (including diapering, feeding, and supervision as needed)
Engaging with children through floor-level interaction and age-appropriate developmental play
Maintaining a calm, positive classroom environment
Following classroom schedules and routines
Assisting with transitions and active supervision
Supporting overall classroom organization and cleanliness We are seeking someone who:
Is reliable, punctual, and consistent
Is comfortable working at floor level and staying physically active throughout the day
Maintains a professional appearance and good hygiene
Communicates respectfully with children, families, and team members
Values structure, routines, and teamwork
Is interested in long-term growth in early childhood education Compensation
$18$19/hour for Teacher Aides (based on education and experience)
$19$22/hour for fully qualified Teachers (based on education and experience)
