Key Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans in accordance with patient needs, goals, and physician direction.
• Perform and manage a full hand therapy caseload, including fabrication of splints, within an outpatient orthopedic and hand therapy setting.
• Complete medical record documentation in a clear, concise, accurate, and timely manner, including goal writing, functional quality indicator assessments, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry in compliance with state, federal, and payer guidelines.
• Delegate and direct discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients, ensuring functional treatment programs support effective return to community activities.
• Participate in student programs as assigned, providing appropriate supervision, developing learning objectives, and completing student evaluations.
• Adhere to the applicable State Practice Act and regulatory requirements, maintain professional licensure in good standing, and pursue ongoing professional development through continuing education and professional activities.

Required Qualifications

• Active Occupational Therapist licensure in good standing in the state of Florida.
• Demonstrated experience in outpatient orthopedic and hand therapy.
• Proficiency in splint fabrication and comfort managing a full hand therapy caseload.
• Ability to complete documentation and goal writing in compliance with state, federal, and payer guidelines.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) credential strongly preferred.
• Experience participating in clinical student programs and providing mentorship or supervision.
