Your Responsibilities

• Choose article topics selected from a pool.
• Research and write original features.
• Pitch article topics to our editorial team.
• Be a dedicated and consistent contributor to the site.
• Follow Collider's general editorial guidelines while producing unique and high-quality content.
• Produce articles in a timely manner to ensure that the latest industry news and most interesting content are always available to Collider's loyal readers.
• Work under tight deadlines and submit tasks on time.
• Have a working knowledge of music and current events.

Experience and Skills

• Educational background in journalism or a related field.
• 2 years of experience in producing entertainment and related content.
• In-depth familiarity with and fierce passion for the music industry, especially the latest music.
• Experience with SEO practices.
• Experience with a custom CMS, preferred.
• Familiarity with music marketing, social media virality (TikTok, Instagram Reels, etc.)
• Experience covering events like Coachella, Lollapalooza, The Grammys, or SXSW.
• Connections with insiders and performers, and a history of conducting interviews with artists.
• Knowledge of platforms like Spotify, Apple Music, SoundCloud, Bandcamp.
