About the Position

A federally qualified health center in western Illinois with multiple locations is adding a Family Medicine Physician for a Faculty teaching position. You will be part of a team-based approach, providing high-quality, compassionate care to your patients.

About the opportunity:

  • Faculty teaching position
  • Mainly outpatient with an option to do some inpatient
  • 4 half-day clinical sessions per week with an average patient census of 10-12 per session
  • Dedicated time for scholarly work and academics
  • Option to include Obstetrics, including vaginal deliveries. No c-sections
  • Call is 1:5
  • This site has 6 Family Medicine Physicians
  • Athena EMR

Compensation and benefits:

  • Base salary and robust benefits package
  • Medical/dental/vision/life insurance, 401k retirement plan with 4% match, vacation, personal days, sick days, malpractice insurance through FTCA, CME time and allowance, and more
  • Commencement bonus
  • Loan repayment through NHSC

Community/Location:

  • Located in western Illinois in St. Clair County, just 5 miles from Scott Air Force Base and 18 miles from St. Louis
  • A suburban community with museums, parks, a marketplace, and more, all within 20 minutes of downtown St. Louis with an entertainment district, casinos, restaurants, historic sites, and major sporting events
  • Population of 32,000 people
  • 3.5 hours to Indianapolis, 4 hours from Chicago, 4.5 hours to Nashville
