As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Unit in Syracuse NY you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more. What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a retail location.
• Respond to incidents disturbances and/or critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including situations that may require an armed presence in accordance with post orders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the store exterior areas parking locations and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor entrances exits and high-traffic areas report suspicious behavior and/or policy violations and document security-related incidents according to site procedures.
• Work with store personnel visitors and/or local first responders during incidents medical events and/or evacuations while following Allied Universal and site guidelines.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
