Role Description

This full-time, on-site Family Physician role is based in Petaluma, CA. The Family Physician will provide comprehensive primary care services to patients of all ages, including preventive care, chronic disease management, and acute care. Daily responsibilities include conducting patient examinations, diagnosing and treating illnesses, coordinating care with specialists, and managing urgent care needs as appropriate. The role also involves promoting community health, educating patients and families on healthy lifestyles and treatment plans, and maintaining accurate, timely medical records in accordance with organizational standards. The Family Physician will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary care teams to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care aligned with Kaiser Permanente’s integrated model.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated proficiency in Primary Care and Family Medicine to manage a broad range of health conditions across the lifespan.
• Strong clinical skills in Medicine and Urgent Care to assess, diagnose, and treat acute and chronic conditions in outpatient settings.
• Experience or interest in Community Health, including prevention, population health, and health education initiatives.
• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
• Board certification or board eligibility in Family Medicine, with an active or attainable California medical license.
• Commitment to evidence-based practice, quality improvement, and culturally responsive, gender-neutral, and non-discriminatory care.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in an integrated, multidisciplinary environment.
