A combination of coursework and professional experience may qualify as equivalencyExperience working with teens, particularly in urban or underserved communitiesDemonstrated ability to facilitate youth programming focused on college and career readiness, mentorship, financial literacy, and social-emotional development, using interactive and culturally responsive methods to engage middle and high school studentsExperience facilitating group work with teens in form and informal learning environments.Demonstrated ability to foster inclusive, trauma-informed, and culturally relevant learning environmentsExcellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with youth, families, and partnersStrong organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple cohorts and project timelinesFlexibility to work occasional evenings, weekends, and overnight conferencesReliable personal vehicle required; this role involves regular travel throughout the Philadelphia areaPassion for working with emerging technologies and deep commitment to the youth of PhiladelphiaProven ability to build bridges and maintain partnerships across nonprofit, educational, and corporate sectorsThe responsibilities we will trust you as our Teen Tech Center Program Facilitator:Program Facilitation:Facilitate daily programming at YMCA Teen Tech Center and program partner locationsDeliver engaging sessions in areas such as coding, gaming, podcasting, film, graphic design, AI/data science, and music productionSupport youth-led projects, skill-building activities, and creative showcasesPlan and execute events including community showcases, guest speaker sessions, tech site visits, and networking opportunitiesEnsure safety and supervision during all sessions, workshops, and field tripsStudent Recruitment & Community Outreach:Recruit diverse groups of teens into the TTC program through schools, community partnerships, and family engagementLead information sessions to highlight TTC's career pathways, mentorship opportunities, and creative benefitsBuild and maintain partnerships with schools, tech professionals, higher education, and local organizationsStudent Engagement & Mentorship:Create an inclusive, trauma-informed space that fosters creativity, exploration, and innovationProvide mentorship that connects students' passions with real-world tech and career pathwaysCelebrate youth progress, showcase achievements, and nurture leadership developmentCurriculum & Program Implementation:Implement and adapt TTC curricula to meet the needs of diverse learnersIntegrate technical instruction with social-emotional learning and life skills developmentCoordinate with guest instructors, mentors, and industry experts for specialized programmingGuide participants toward advanced certifications and credentials where availableAdministrative & Program Support:Maintain accurate program records including attendance, outcomes, and feedbackCoordinate logistics for workshops, events, showcases, and field tripsContribute to program evaluation and continuous improvementParticipate in YMCA staff trainings, meetings, and cross-functional initiativesWhat you can expect:Support from an amazing leadership teamOpportunities to learn & grow at the YMCABeing a part of a non-profit organization that works to make the community strongerYMCA is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
