We are a small, SLP-owned pediatric practice located in the Stone Oak area of San Antonio, and we're looking for a fun, creative, and passionate Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant to join our growing team in a part-time office-based position. A large portion of our patients are between the ages of 2 and 7, so creativity, flexibility, and a willingness to get on the floor and play are essential!

You'll enjoy a steady, established caseload with consistent referrals, but you'll quickly notice something that makes us different—we intentionally prioritize quality over quantity. As clinicians ourselves, we understand the creativity, emotional energy, and preparation required to provide exceptional pediatric therapy. Because of that, we will never expect your workday to consist entirely of treatment sessions.

Responsibilities

• Assist with speech and language evaluations and ongoing therapy for children from birth through 18 years of age.
• Provide engaging, evidence-based speech and language therapy tailored to each child's individual strengths and needs.
• Implement individualized treatment plans based on SLP assessment findings and family input.
• Complete documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) accurately and in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and other professionals to support communication goals.
• Educate families on strategies to promote carryover and generalization outside of therapy.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
• Participate in supervision, team meetings, and continuing professional development as appropriate.

 

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program
• Current Texas SLPA license
• Minimum of 2 years of pediatric experience (preferred)
• Experience with early intervention is strongly preferred
• Reliable transportation to our Stone Oak office
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of speech-language pathology terminology for accurate professional documentation
• Ability to work collaboratively while maintaining a positive and compassionate attitude
