Vivarium & Sanitation Cleaning Supervisor Hourly Wage: $21.00–$23.00 per hour. Key Purpose The Vivarium & Sanitation Cleaning Supervisor works with AGM, manager, service associates, and key customers to ensure continued satisfaction of services. The supervisor leads a team of professionals and ensures tasks are completed, instructions are understood and upholds the standards of cleanliness while adhering to GMP regulations, environmental health and safety guidelines, and any other related restrictions that may apply. Success Criteria Delivery on contract promises, increased effectiveness and/or efficiency of delivered services through deployment of ISS standards and concepts leveraging innovation and best practice opportunities Successful delivery of prioritized projects and programs In partnership with internal and external stakeholders understand upcoming priorities and linking project delivery to the needs of the business Deployment of relevant projects following the global/local standards while having complete ownership of project roll out and completion Develop own skill base in line with agreed appraisal, taking responsibility for increased performance, and ensuring continued self‑improvement Participate and embrace the development opportunities Promote the IFS model within the ISS community Transfer best practice Use the account to promote and further develop ISS Use proper personal protective equipment (PPE) Demonstrate ethical conduct Must be trustworthy Must be results driven and able to take initiative Demonstrates exceptional customer service skills Key Areas of Collaboration and Influence Communicate effectively with colleagues within the Business Unit and across the company so that information is disseminated effectively and participate in project groups and meetings as required Always remember safety first, quality always A solid commitment to the guest experience Build respectful relationships with all teammates and guests Willingness to take directions from leadership Coordinate activities with other internal departments Participate in team meetings Escalate appropriately any incidents or constraints to leadership Participate, as needed, in the investigation and CAPA process for incidents and deviations Perform activities in a way to prevent cross‑contamination Ideal Candidate Experience Must be 18 years of age, or older Related GMP manufacturing experience is preferred High school diploma, or equivalent required Ability to read, write, speak English, and communicate effectively required Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred Knowledge of basic chemical and biological safety procedures is a plus Should possess basic math skills Understand that safety is a top priority and comply with all safety rules, policies, and procedures Must be a team player and committed to working in a quality environment 3+ years of supervisory or managerial experience with strong emphasis on customer service Demonstrates strong skills in: Communication, decision‑making, leadership, and problem‑solving Demonstrates professional and political aptitude Strong computer proficiency skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Key Accountabilities Wear full PPE for extended periods of time Strictly adhere to safety and GMP SOPs and perform related documentation clearly and legibly Participate, as needed, in the investigation and CAPA process for incidents and deviations Support client in CAPA implementation to incidents and deviations, effectiveness checks, and CAPA closure Ensure all ISS site GMP personnel are trained and qualified to perform GMP related tasks and training is timely and complete Schedule and/or conduct site initial, and refresher Good Documentation and Data Practices (GDDP), and GMP training as required. Provide oversight/review of completed GMP records for GDDP Notify client and ISS of site incidents using appropriate escalation procedures and maintain incident log Enforce company and customer goals, policies, and procedures Manage daily operations in cage wash and sanitation cleaning to ensure the highest level of customer service is provided Identify places to improve performance, policies, and programs Promote responsibility for safe and controlled work environments Ensure that all customer complaints are handled professionally, appropriately, and in a timely manner Develop and manage employee population Train and manage employees and vendors to ensure all client rules, guidelines, regulations, and expectations are adhered to Develop and maintain strategic customer relationships Serve as liaison between clients and company departments/divisions Conduct service review meetings with clients concerning ISS performance, vendor performance and process improvements Examine work completion in accordance to contract deliverables Monitor quality control throughout assigned facilities Work with and cage wash lead and sanitation cleaning team members to complete daily punch list items, which include: Clean, sanitize, and maintain all animal caging materials, cagewash equipment, and vivarium spaces Perform activities in a way to prevent cross‑contamination Maintain an adequate amount of cleaning supplies Complete relevant paperwork following GDP/GMP guidelines Manually clean portable equipment and small parts Receive and distribute supplies into the production area as necessary Physical Demands Sitting at a computer for 20% of the time Walking/inspecting the site 80% of the time Stand 33%, walk >66%, sit use of hands and fingers to touch, handle, rub, grip, and feel reach above shoulders Push, pull and grasp with hands and arms 33‑50% Climb or balance Stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl Perform repetitive tasks Must be able to stand for extended periods of time (up to 2 hours at a time followed by a 15‑minute break) over an entire 8‑ or 12‑hour shift Must be able to climb ladders and stairs while wearing special gowning Must be able to push and pull up to 100 pounds (with assistance of material handling equipment) Must be able to lift a minimum of 10 to 50 pounds Frequently lift 0‑20 pounds Must be able to work under pressure and time deadlines during peak periods Work Environment Must be able to work in controlled environments requiring special gowning. Will be required to follow gowning requirements and wear protective clothing over the head, face, hands, feet and body No makeup, jewelry, contact lenses, nail polish, or artificial fingernails may be worn in the manufacturing environment Will work in a cold, wet environment Must be able to work multiple shifts, including occasional weekends Must be able to work overtime as required May be required to work in a confined area Some clean room and cool/hot storage conditions HSEQ Compliance All employees must adhere to Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) policies and procedures to ensure a safe and compliant work environment.
