AR Specialist

Temporary Accounts Receivable Specialist Are you a detail-oriented and organized AR professional looking for a flexible temporary assignment? Our client, a leading manufacturing in Morgan Hill, is seeking a Temporary Accounts Receivable Specialist to support a maternity leave. This is a part-time role, typically requiring 20–30 hours per week, with an expectation to work a full day at month-end to complete periodic tasks. Salary: $32 - $35 per hour Shift: First Work Hours: 10 AM - 3 PM Education: Bachelors Responsibilities Daily Tasks Prepare and issue customer invoices in a timely manner. Process credit card transactions through Authorize.net. Contact customers for declined payments via phone and email. Email invoices to customers and maintain organized digital records by year and month. Monitor and respond to messages in the AR inbox. Save payment remittances to the appropriate remittance folder. Save daily credit card batch reports and file appropriately. Once batches settle in Comerica Bank, attach corresponding invoices and move reports to the cleared batch folder. Post settled credit card payments to SAP. Post cleared cash receipts to SAP (typically the following day). Review incoming mail and prepare check deposits as needed. Maintain resale certificates: save new certificates and update records in Avalara. Sort and save packing slips, ensuring international shipping documentation is retained. Monthly / Periodic Tasks Import invoices into AvaTax (weekly or at month-end). Gather and scan drawback paperwork for the Tariff folder at month-end.
