Data ScientistResponsibilities include:Responsible for end to end Cards insight creation, support in Card campaign, developing & building card related insightsResponsible for managing/maintaining Card programs i.e. Card Opportunities, Portfolio management, Value at risk, Card Explorer, Spend program etc.Data mining and developing relevant data transformation logicDesigning processes to integrate data from multiple sources to facilitate client centric advanced analyticsUnderstand and connect the dots to different aspects of Card program.Build, design, and develop the insights for decision making as well as building/assisting the dashboards design for Business Users.Responsible for identifying and exploring all relevant data sources, generate the understanding, develop the logic to transforms into insights that can be leveraged into decision making and other needs.Documenting data transformation logicDeveloping efficient, scalable and repeatable processes to transform data on regular basisCommunicating with IT partners to share selected transformation processes by facilitating and reviewing business requirementsDesign, build, develop and maintain the Analytical solutions to understand Card Clients behavior.Develop analytical solutions to recommend Card product team to produce meaningful results.Partnering with other data scientists/business analysts to make them familiar with the transformed information so that it can be appropriately used by other analysts and statisticiansManaging processes designed and developed by the information foundation teamUsing best practices framework to ensure data quality and reconciliation checks are in place and are transparent to our usersLeveraging communication skills to collaborate effectively with analysts across companyEvaluating effectiveness of the transformation process and delivered information by working with users of informationPartnering with business groups to understand the Business case/Use case to develop/design best-in-class analytical solution(s).Ability to research external insights and blend with internal insights to create and understanding of the market place (Clients/Prospects).QualificationsSolid understanding of writing and understanding of complex SQL queriesExtensive knowledge and experience in Oracle SQL, PLSQL, and SAS tools/techniquesDemonstrated experience with the data mining tools SAS/Anaconda and SQL preferably through Oracle PL/SQL.Strong background in SAS programming and SQL coding is preferredExperience transform business specifications and requirements into well documented and scripted SQL, PL/SQL processes.Ability to develop and enhance complex PL/SQL scripts, queries, and stored procedures and ETL processesProven Documentation (technical and user documentation) and Verbal and written Communication skillsGood understanding of BI Methodologies and PracticeExperience with systems integration, building system models by combining model components and testing the integrity of modeling systems, proficient with model and systems implementation testingKnowledge of Data Governance and DQ framework is a plusBackground in data management in Banking/Finance industry is preferredExperience with ETL and data modeling tools is a plusStrong analytical and problem solving skillsDemonstrated ability to self-manage and multitask in a dynamic, ever-changing environmentEffective time management and organizational skillsFlexibility to work/manage variety of projectsBachelor/Masters in Computer Science, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Statistics or operational researchWorking knowledge with Tableau is a plus6+ years of experience in analytics and/or business intelligence space
