Are you an experienced early childhood professional who loves being in the classroom but is also ready to take on a leadership role? World of Dreams is looking for a Preschool Teacher & Assistant Director to join our team and play an important role in both the classroom and the day-to-day success of our center.

This unique dual-role position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children while also supporting teachers, families, and center operations.

As the Preschool Teacher , you will work with our 4–5-year-old children, creating a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment where children can learn, grow, and build confidence.

As the Assistant Director , you will also support center leadership with daily operations, staff support, communication with families, and maintaining a positive environment for children and teachers.

Responsibilities

Preschool Teacher

• Provide a nurturing, safe, and engaging classroom environment for children ages 4–5

• Plan and implement age-appropriate learning experiences and activities

• Support children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development

• Build positive relationships with children and families

• Maintain classroom organization, cleanliness, and required documentation

• Communicate effectively with families and team members

Assistant Director

• Support the Center Director with daily center operations

• Assist and support teachers and classroom staff

• Help maintain a positive, professional, and collaborative work environment

• Assist with staff communication, scheduling, and day-to-day needs

• Support enrollment, family communication, and center organization as needed

• Help ensure center policies and childcare regulations are followed

• Step into a leadership role when the Center Director is unavailable

What We're Looking For

We are looking for an experienced, dependable early childhood professional who is ready to take on additional leadership responsibilities.

• At least 5 years of teaching experience in the childcare/early childhood field required

• Management or administrative experience is preferred, but not required

• Candidates without previous management experience may be considered if they have strong classroom experience and demonstrate leadership potential

• A consistent employment history and longevity in previous positions is important

• CPR & First Aid certification required

• Strong communication and organizational skills

• Ability to lead, support, and work collaboratively with a team

• Passion for early childhood education and working with young children

• Dependable, professional, and comfortable taking initiative

• Willingness to learn and grow into the administrative responsibilities of the position

• Ability to balance classroom responsibilities with administrative duties

Position Details

Position: Preschool Teacher & Assistant Director
Age Group: 4–5 years
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:30 PM
Starting Pay: $25.00 per hour
Ideal Start Date: October 13, 2026, pending completion and approval of background check
Vacation: 2 weeks
401(k): Employer contribution available
Health Insurance: Not offered
CPR & First Aid: Required
