Quantitative Fundamental Analyst As a Quantitative Fundamental Analyst, you will: Collaborate with the investment team to enhance existing and create new quantitative strategies derived from company fundamentals. Rigorously develop and improve fundamentally driven strategies in long/short equity portfolios. Utilize a variety of NLP and LLM models to process company filings and financials for machine use. Work collaboratively with portfolio managers, researchers, and developers to efficiently identify and formulate data-driven answers to high-impact research questions. Actively explore topics in fundamental quantitative research through academic research, interaction with third-party providers, conference attendance, etc., ultimately converting these into additional firm revenue. Requirements Strong knowledge of company filings, financials, and a deep understanding of one or more industries. Successful experience working with company fundamentals in a quantitative investing context. Mental flexibility: you can easily learn and try new techniques, question assumptions (your own and those of others), and adjust your perspective when data suggest doing so. Proficiency in Python and/or R. Bachelor’s degree required, with a strong preference for a finance, accounting, or similar degree from a well-regarded program. Minimum of 2 years of experience in a quantitative fundamental analyst role is strongly preferred. Collaborate with portfolio managers, researchers, and developers to efficiently identify and formulate data-driven answers to high-impact research questions. Actively explore and pursue interesting data and techniques through academic research, interaction with third-party providers, conference attendance, etc., ultimately converting these into additional firm revenue. Requirements Excellent quantitative analysis skills and experience working with large data sets. Mental flexibility: you easily learn and try new techniques, question assumptions (your own and those of others), and adjust your perspective when data suggest doing so. Strong programming, data analysis, and problem solving skills using Python and/or R. Experience with machine learning and/or optimization techniques is preferred. Bachelor of Science degree required, with a strong preference for a major in a technical discipline from a well-regarded program. Minimum of 2 years of experience in a quantitative research role in quantitative finance or another technology-intensive field. Develop new proprietary research tools and enhance existing ones. Evaluate and create solutions to increase the speed and capabilities of the research process. Collaborate on other software engineering tasks as needed. Requirements Demonstrably exceptional skills in one or more of the following languages: C++, Java, Python, or R. Commitment to writing testable, shareable, fault-tolerant, and scalable code. Strong interest in quantitative finance; a background or interest in math or machine learning is a plus. Bachelor of Science degree required, with a strong preference for a major in a technical discipline from a well-regarded program 2+ years of experience in a professional software engineering role. This is a high-ownership role for someone who wants to work directly with senior leadership, improve how a complex investment business runs, and grow into broader operating responsibility over time. What you'll do Lead business operations for a growing global investment platform. Drive internal process design and continuous improvement to support efficient scaling. Expand the use of AI across the organization to improve workflows and execution. Coordinate across teams to identify blockers, improve operating cadence, and advance strategic priorities. Help manage key external relationships, including brokers, vendors, institutional investors, and other industry partners. Oversee outsourced providers supporting financial reporting, regulatory filings, compliance, and human resources. Build market awareness, maintain strong networks, and contribute to talent and competitive intelligence. Work closely with the CEO, with the opportunity to grow into broader operating leadership over time. What we're looking for Experience in a proprietary trading firm, hedge fund, investment bank, or similar environment. Strong knowledge of institutional investment businesses and associated technologies. Practical familiarity with AI tools and how they can improve workflows in technology-intensive organizations. Excellent judgment, independence, and strong attention to detail. Strong written and verbal communication skills across business, financial, and technical topics.
