Pediatric Registered Nurse
Pediatric RN position available for night shifts. The role is for a general medical-surgical pediatric unit with 5 inpatient beds. The unit also manages a Pediatric ED daily. Primary diagnoses include respiratory issues, NICU step down, GI illnesses, and infections. Simple medical-surgical adults up to age 65 may be admitted to support bed flow. An in-house pediatrician hospitalist is available 24/7. A Level III NICU is present, with a Neonatal NP also available 24/7. Every third weekend is required, including Friday and Saturday shifts. Holiday shifts are required as scheduled. Floating within specialty and as needed is required. On-call duties are not part of the role. The patient age groups include neonates, infants, children, adolescents, and adults. Daily census averages around 4 patients, with 12 visits per day. The unit offers support from various interdisciplinary teams. Special procedures may be performed in the unit as required.
Experience: Minimum 2 years preferred License: RN license required Certifications: BLS, PALS required; NRP preferred Must-Have: Experience with patient ratios of 1:3 Experience with EPIC EHR Charge experience preferred Community hospital experience preferred
