Industry Consumer Goods Type Privately Held About the Role The Company is in search of a Vice President of Product Development to spearhead the end-to-end innovation process for its consumer packaged goods. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining and leading the product development strategy, ensuring that it is in line with the company's growth, brand positioning, and portfolio priorities. This role involves translating consumer insights, market trends, and commercial needs into actionable product roadmaps, as well as overseeing all phases of development from concept to launch. The VP will also be tasked with building and leading a high-performing product development and R&D organization, fostering a culture of creativity and continuous improvement, and ensuring that all products meet regulatory, food safety, and quality standards. Applicants for the Vice President of Product Development position at the company should have a minimum of 12 years' experience in product development and innovation within consumer packaged goods, with a proven track record of successful product launches. The role requires a leader with a strong blend of consumer insight, technical development, cross-functional leadership, and operational execution. A background in food, beverage, beauty, personal care, or health and wellness CPG categories is preferred, as is experience working with co-manufacturers and complex external vendor networks. The ideal candidate will have excellent executive-level communication and cross-functional influence skills, and a background that includes leadership at the Director or VP level, as well as a degree in a relevant field.
