Job Details

Responsibilities:

• Draft, proofread, and file pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and other legal documents.
• Maintain case calendars, deadlines, and organized client files.
• Communicate directly with clients to gather information, provide updates, and assist with case preparation.
• Coordinate with courts, opposing counsel, and other involved parties.
• Assist attorneys in preparing trial binders, exhibits, and settlement documentation.
• Perform basic accounting tasks such as tracking retainers and billing activity.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree, paralegal certificate, or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 2–5 years of experience in a law firm or other legal setting; family law experience preferred.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• High attention to detail and ability to manage sensitive or confidential information with discretion.
• Basic understanding of accounting concepts.
• Proficiency in Outlook, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
