Essential Duties and Responsibilities The essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following: Lead Installer Lead Installer will be responsible for installing new and replacement equipment and providing excellent customer service to residential and commercial heating and air conditioning customers. Lead Installer will be expected to interpret construction drawings, schematics, and cut sheets in the field. Lead Installer will be expected to work on a variety of projects and tasks related to the HVAC trade: Residential Furnace, Air Conditioner, Heat Pump, Commercial Rooftop Ductwork, Condensate Drains, Venting, Refrigerant Piping, Gas Piping & Insulation. Line and Low Voltage Wiring, controls, and programming. Other job/field related tasks as required: brazing, threading pipe, soldering, and welding. Must be competent in the preparation, testing, and start-up of new HVAC equipment. Interface with customers in their homes and places of work and therefore must maintain an acceptable appearance and manners. Always explain the system to the client when finished with an installation and make sure that they are 100% satisfied with the work. Train installation assistants/helpers, teaching them to work independently for maximum installation efficiency. Always be safety conscious both on the job and while driving, making sure that the assistant installer is also working safely and neatly. Report to and take direction from the HVAC Project manager and follow all established company policies and procedures. Install Helper Install Helper will assist Lead Installer in installing new and replacement equipment and providing excellent customer service to residential and commercial heating and air conditioning customers. Install Helper will assist Lead Installer while learning to work on a variety of projects and tasks related to the HVAC trade: Line and Low Voltage Wiring, controls, and programming. Other job/field related tasks as required: brazing, threading pipe, soldering, and welding. Interface with customers in their homes and places of work and therefore must maintain an acceptable appearance and manners. Report to and take direction from the Lead Installer who then reports to the HVAC Project manager and follows all established company policies and procedures. Minimum Qualifications High school Diploma Valid Driver’s License Skills and Experience HVAC experience and knowledge. Customer service (residential and commercial). Familiarity with furnaces. Strong work ethic. Minimum 2 years HVAC experience. Physical Demands and Work Environment Climbing up and down on ladders and equipment. Heavy lifting required (50-75 pounds), ladder work, and tight space work required from time to time. Ability to pick up a minimum of 25 pounds consistently and carry up to 250 feet unassisted. Operate handheld power tools. Wear personal protective equipment. Ability to work more than 40 hours per work week and up to 12 hours per day. Work both indoors and outdoors. Exposed to very hot or very cold temperatures. Proximity to hazardous conditions, equipment, and situations. Work with sharp tools and electricity that could produce cuts or burns. Wear safety attire often, such as goggles or other protective clothing. Exposure to sounds and noise levels that are uncomfortable and distracting. Exposed to very bright or inadequate lighting conditions. Climb ladders and work from roofs and scaffolding. Work around exposed contaminants. Work in cramped workplaces, such as crawl spaces under floors.
