AmeriStaff Employment & Staffing Solutions is seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our client's maintenance team. This role is responsible for the installation, repair, and preventative maintenance of electrical systems in a manufacturing setting, including plastic production machinery and facility equipment.

• 3rd Shift | 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM
• Pay: $23.50/hr. to $33.50/hr., depending on experience

Responsibilities of the Electrical Maintenance Technician:

• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical code specifications to troubleshoot and repair equipment
• Install, test, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, control devices, and equipment
• Diagnose and repair malfunctioning equipment using test equipment
• Perform both electrical and mechanical repairs as needed
• Conduct preventative maintenance on electrical systems, equipment, and components
• Build and install control boxes on new or refurbished equipment
• Operate forklift and scissor lift, as needed
• Maintain repair and maintenance records including inventory, manuals, and drawings
• Support quality policy and minimize equipment downtime
• Follow safety and health guidelines at all times
• May direct the work of contractors performing electrical installation of equipment
• Participate in training, retraining, and continuous improvement processes
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements for the Electrical Maintenance Technician:

• Ability to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial equipment in a manufacturing environment
• General computer skills with ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work independently and make decisions with little direction
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record and proof of insurability
• Must be able to work overtime and weekends as needed
• Ability to travel within Winona for electrical project work at other facilities
• Physical ability to regularly lift/move up to 60 lbs. and occasionally handle up to 250 lbs. with equipment
• Comfortable working at elevated heights up to 30 feet and in varied environmental conditions (temperature extremes, dust, fumes, airborne particles, etc.)
• Attendance and dependability are essential

Preferred Qualifications:

• Two-year technical degree in industrial maintenance or equivalent education/experience
• 1+ year of experience as an Electrical Maintenance Technician (training provided for qualified candidates)
• Plastic extrusion experience helpful (training provided)
• Forklift and scissor lift experience preferred (will train)
• Basic PLC and automation programming knowledge a plus
